UkraineInvest presented the MAKE in UA program to attract investment in the manufacturing sector of Ukraine's economy
On December 14, 2021, the Second Annual UkraineInvest Forum "MAKE in UA" (Produce in Ukraine) took place in Kyiv. Gathering offline and online participants from more than 50 countries, the forum presented the main economic achievements of the country for the year, including the program to attract investment in the manufacturing sector of Ukraine's economy "MAKE in UA".
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal opened the forum with a welcoming speech, noting that in 2021 the priority directions of the Government's policy were the introduction of investment incentives for projects with significant investments, further digitalization of the country, completion of land reform, development of public-private partnership. large-scale privatization ”and the launch of industrial parks.
The guests of the forum were addressed by the People's Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UkraineInvest David Arahamiya, MP, Chairman of the Temporary Special Commission on Investor Rights Halyna Yanchenko, Cabinet Minister Oleh Nemchinov and Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Ivan Lukerya.
The event was attended by more than 20 speakers, including representatives of central and regional authorities, international organizations, business and investment community of Ukraine and the world.
To increase Ukraine's investment attractiveness at the global level, the UkraineInvest team initiated the MAKE in UA program, which was presented during the forum. Its goal is to attract investment in the manufacturing sector of Ukraine's economy.
"Production is one of the key components of the country's economy. In the first half of 2021, the share of production in Ukraine's GDP was 11.7%, and this is the best figure for the last 3 years. By 2025, our goal is to double the inflow of annual foreign direct investment into the country's manufacturing sector. "The MAKE in UA program identifies specific investment opportunities and will be implemented in cooperation with the regions of Ukraine and international partners," said UkraineInvest Executive Director Serhiy Tsivkach during the presentation.
